Fictitious new business owner is getting ready to open a coffee shop and needs a brand identity for her business.
How I Did It
Using colour psychology, type psychology, pattern recognition and social belonging I was able to identify a brand dimension for the business and thereby create its personality and identity. I developed audience profiles and validated these profiles through field research to find the ideal customers for the business. Selecting an identity design trend for the business to create a holistic identity system including a mission statement, colour scheme, type scale, collection of brand images, logo, icon pair and social media headers complementing the brand’s personality.
A brand style guide that will be used to create a website, print menus, flyers, business cards and promotional coffee cups and t-shirts. Building a reputation, personality and message around the business that creates an emotional connection with its target audience.
